Abstract

1,093,756. Venetian blinds. K. W. R. HEDBERG. Oct. 20, 1965 [Oct. 20, 1964], No. 44424/65. Heading E1J. A venetian blind comprises slats 1 carried by two or more tapes 3a and 3b which can be operated for adjusting the angular position of the slats 1 by an axially-movable spindle 6 having a preferably flexible extension rod 7, a device such as a cord 10 connected to the spindle 6 at a ring 9 being connected also to the tapes, e.g. 3a, at a suitable slat 1a to bring the latter and the slats therebelow into an angular position differing from that of the others. The spindle 6 is journalled in rollers 5 for the tapes 3a and 3b, in which it can move only axially and its movements are restricted by a ring 9 acting as a stop at one end and another stop at the other. The spindle is in a fillet 4 and there may be one or more cords 10.
