Abstract
The invention comprises compounds of general formula <FORM:0938436/IV(a)/1> wherein R1 and R2 are alkyl (1-4C) and R3 is a 2-thienyl or 3-pyridyl radical; and their acid addition salts; and their preparation by condensing a compound of general formula <FORM:0938436/IV(a)/2> (as sodium salt is an example) with a compound of general formula <FORM:0938436/IV(a)/3> Nitriles of the second general formula above may be prepared from a substituted acetonitrile by reaction with an appropriate carboxylic acid ester. Hydrazines of the third general formula above may be prepared by condensing an N-alkyl-4-piperidone with a monoacylhydrazine followed by catalytic reduction and acid hydrolysis. Pharmaceutical compositions contain, in addition to an inert carrier, a compound of the invention. Oral (tablets) and parenteral (solutions) administration are mentioned. The compounds have antiphlogistic, analgetic, antipyretic, adrenolytic, antirheumatic or serotonin inhibiting effect.
