Abstract
936,459. Valves. WRIGHT, BINDLEY & GELL Ltd. Nov. 4, 1960 [Aug. 8, 1959], No. 27183/59. Class 135. A pressure regulator of the kind comprising a chamber in which a spring-loaded diaphragm 25 is disposed the chamber having an outlet 22 and an inlet 19 which is controlled by a valve member 42 connected with the diaphragm, for regulating, e.g. a supply of fuel gas to a cooker in accordance with the consumption of the cooker, further comprises a first lever 35 pivotally mounted at 38 on the regulator body 12 and coupled at one end to the diaphragm, and a second lever 39 pivotally mounted at 40 on the regulator body and pivotally coupled at 41 to the first lever, the second lever carrying the valve member 42 which engages a seat associated with the inlet 22. In a modification, the fixed pivot 38 of the first lever lies between the connections of this lever with the diaphragm and second lever respectively and the valve member 42 lies between the fixed and movable pivots associated with the second lever.
