934,495. Pneumatic and steam-jet conveyers. DEFIBRATOR A.B. Dec. 4, 1959 [Dec. 11, 1958], No. 41284/59. Class 78 (1). A conveyer for wood chips, straw &c. having a rotor 12 in a casing 10, is provided with radially adjustable members 36, 36, which enable a wedge-shaped clearance between the rotor and easing to be obtained. Cup shaped springs (Fig. 5, not shown) may be disposed between adjustment screws 44 and the members 36. Slots 62 in the members 36 permit escape of gas from pockets 28 in the rotor 12 to outlets 64. Packing 48 (Fig. 3) is adjustably disposed between the rotor 12 and casing 10, and packing 56 is similarly disposed between the members 36 and the casing 10.
