Abstract

1,082,349. Feeding material to pneumatic conveyers. FULLER CO. Feb. 1, 1966 [Feb. 5, 1965], No. 4377/66. Heading B8A. A rotary feed valve for feeding material from a hopper 16 to a pneumatic conveyer 17 comprises a casing 2 formed with openings 5 of different diameters which are normally closed by detachable plates 6. The plates 6 carry bearings 15 supporting the shaft 12 of the rotor 8 and are provided with seals 13. The arrangement is such that when the screws 7 securing the plates 6 to the casing 2 are removed, the whole rotor assembly and the smaller plate 6 can be withdrawn through the larger opening 5.
