Abstract
931,429. Mineral-mining apparatus. EICKHOFF MASCHINENFABRIK U EISENGIESSEREI GEB. Aug. 16, 1960 [Aug. 25, 1959], No. 28280/60. Class 68 (1). The loading surface 6 of a loader following the cutting means 4 of a mineral-mining machine serves as shown in the Figure to load mined mineral on to an adjacent face conveyer, and, when the loader is pivoted about the axis 8 to rest on the rear portions of the lower edges of the side members instead of the front portions as shown, serves to clear the floor at the face when the loader and mining machine are moved back along the face prior to the next cutting run. The loader consists of the inclined surface 6 supported on a pair of parallel, longitudinally extending side members, and the leading edge of the surface 6 as shown is clear of the floor of the face. The axis 8 consists of a pivot-pin extending from a guide beam through the adjacent side member of the loader. The guide beam, which slides along the adjacent side frame of the conveyer is connected by a towing link to the mining machine.
