929,882. Reactor pressure vessels. FOSTER WHEELER Ltd. Jan. 16, 1961 [Jan. 14, 1960], No. 1409/60. Class 39 (4). A motor for driving control-rods of a reactor is supported outside the reactor vessel by a tube 12; the tube has a shoulder 16 which is held against a facing 18 by a nut 20 engaging a facing 22 inside the vessel. The facings are accurately machined and are formed on the vessel or, as shown, on stub tubes welded to the vessel. Seal welds 28 are made.
