Abstract

928,546. Purse-like containers. UNITED KINGDOM OPTICAL CO. Ltd. July 24, 1961, No. 26782/61. Class 133. [Also in Group XX] A spectacle case comprises a metal body extending over two opposite sides of the case and a covering of plastic material, the plastic material overlapping the body at the ends which are closed by heat-sealing the overlaps. As shown, a metal body 1 is sandwiched between two sheets 2, 3 of plastic material, the material extending from one side to form a flap F and having overlaps 10 at the ends. The metal body is then bent to form a pocket and the overlapping material heat sealed to close the ends. A press stud fastening may be fixed to the body and the flap. Specification 845,556 is referred to.
