Abstract
925,237. Coat &c. hangers. TWINCO Ltd. Oct. 4, 1961 [Oct. 4, 1960], No. 33955/60. Class 52 (5). A folding hanger comprises two channel section arms a, a tubular yoke c for receiving a hook e, attachment plates d on the yoke c for pivotally connecting the arms a to the yoke c, the free ends of the channel arms a being adapted for making a hinge connection with a pair of outer arms b, each having a projecting tongue I at its hinged end and the channel arms a being recessed, as at m, to provide a clearance for the tongues l as they turn on their hinges, and each pair of arms having means for maintaining them in an extended position. Trun nions f and g which may be moulded on the plates d and the outer arms b, which may be channels, respectively engage holes in the channel arms a, thus providing the hinges. In the extended position, the channel arms a abut each other, as at k, and the shoulders i provided on the outer arm flanges h abut the channel arms a. The cruciform section hook e is adapted to rotate in the yoke c. Specification 813,412 is referred to.
