Abstract

922,613. Skirting &c. rails. W. UHLENBRUCH, and G. FRANK. June 16, 1959 [June 16, 1958], No. 20686/59. Class 20 (4). [Also in Group XIV] A skirting, wainscoting rail, &c. for rooms comprises a base part 5 providing a permanent fixing adapted to be attached to the wall &c. surface, and a cover part 1 formed as a continuous rail and including a front panel 10 and at least one flange along its upper or lower edge whereby it defines a space to accommodate a service line, and interengaging components formed on said parts independently of the flange and arranged to permit removal of the cover part with a service line in position. In Fig. 1, the interengaging components are constituted by a projection 2 and a recess 3 on the cover part and base respectively. As shown in Fig. 5, the invention is applied to a picture rail. Several alternative forms of rail and arrangements of interengaging components are described.
