Abstract
921,890. Refuse incinerators. L. VON ROLL A.G. Feb. 16, 1961 [Feb. 16, 1960], No. 5848/61. Class 51 (1). In a refuse incinerator comprising a combustion grate spaced apart from and below a predrying grate, over which the combustion gases are deflected, the refuse is fed through a hopper 1 on to the predrying grate 2 and over a step member 3 on to the combustion grate 4. Combustion air enters through openings 5, and ashes and cinders are removed through an outlet shoot 6 on to a scraper conveyer 7. A projection 8 on the wall 10b of the combustion housing 10 which covers up to one third of grate 4 in projection deflects the combustion gases towards the predrying grate.
