Abstract

921,852. Building panels; walls, partitions and floors of buildings. S.A.F. FILLOD F.S.A. Dec. 21, 1959 [July 20, 1959], No. 43253/59. Classes 20 (4) and 87 (1). Insulating building panels comprise at their edges section frames 4, Fig. 2, having flanges 5 extending from the section frames, the flanges being adapted for engagement by sections 8, 10, 10b, 12, connecting adjacent panels on two or more sides of vertical posts 7, Figs. 5 and 6, and horizontal beams 11, Fig. 8, to form walls' partitions and floors. Resilient sealing strips 9 are interposed between the panels and the posts and beams. The panels may comprise one pair, Fig. 1 (not shown), or two spaced pairs, Fig. 2, of metal sheets 3, 3<SP>1</SP> enclosing an intermediate sheet 1 formed with semi-ovoid stamped portions 2 which are alternated and staggered to form zones B, B<SP>1</SP> which may be filled with insulating material or with static air. One or more reinforcing members C<SP>1</SP>, disposed in the zone C between spaced pairs of sheets, form ventilation passages. The zone C may also be filled with insulating material. The intermediate sheet 1 may be replaced by two sheets 2<SP>11</SP> and 2<SP>111</SP>, Fig. 3, having interengaging stamped recesses arranged in checkerboard pattern.
