Abstract

920,957. Spinning processes. H. GLASTRA. Feb. 6, 1961 [Feb. 10, 1960], No. 4407/61. Class 120 (3). A spinning machine 1 is linked to a winder 2 by a conveyer belt 4. When tubes 3 are full of yarn the machine 1 is stopped and the tubes are doffed by a mechanical hand (not shown) which places empty tubes 5 on the spindles. The full tubes are conveyed by the belt 4 to the winder 2 and as they become empty are returned by the belt to the machine 1. Instead of stopping the machine 1 during the exchanging of the tubes individual spindles may be stopped. The yarn may be wetted before and/or during rewinding.
