[Also in Group XV] A glass frame for film transparencies comprises two sheet glass frame members 1 and 2 hinged together by a flexible hinged strip 3 of self-sticking adhesive tape. Additional strips 4 are applied to the marginal portions of the glass sheets opposite to the hinged strip but on the same side, so that when the glass sheets are closed, retaining the transparency 5, the strips act as packing shims. In this manner air gaps 7 are provided between the transparency 5 and the glass sheets. The complete unit 10 of Fig. 3 is mounted in a plastic frame piece 12, Fig. 5, with a cover or lid piece 13 of thin sheet metal.
