Abstract

741,439. Lantern slides. JOST, J. April 24, 1953 [April 26, 1952; Oct. 15, 1952], No. 11402/53. Class 98 (2). [Also in Group XV] A frame for transparencies comprises a pair of frame members 1a, 1b, adapted to be arranged in overlying relation; each frame consisting of a glass pane on the inner side of which is stuck a sheet of material 2a, 2b comprising registering light projecting aperture 3, 4, which register when the frame is folded up, the sheet material being provided on its face surface with a adhesive, so that both frame members may be stuck together after insertion of the transparency. The sheet material is formed from a single sheet and may be provided with a marking, such as a line, a stuck-on strip or a slot, to serve as an orientation for the attachment of the transparency. The slot may be made larger than the length of the transparency so that one edge thereof may be inserted therein, and one edge of the aperture 3 may be provided with a curved projection against which the transparency may be registered and/or tilted. In that embodiment only the other three edges of the aperture 3 serve to define the image field, the fourth edge being provided by one edge of the aperture 4.
