Abstract

503,937. Lantern slides; opticalprojection apparatus. NATIONAL SCREEN SERVICE, Ltd., HEPWORTH, C. M., and KIMBERLEY, P. Oct. 7, 1937, Nos. 26186/38 (divided out of 503,611, [Group XVIII]) and 26185/38. [Classes 97 (i) and 98 (ii)] A slide is provided, on one side, with a projecting tab 14, and, on the opposite side, with a recess or projection, such as a cut-away corner 15, capable of co-operating with a projection or recess, such as a corner piece 23, in the frame 20 to prevent wrong insertion of the slide. The slide may be built up of three superposed sections, the tab 14 being part of the central section. The aperture in the central section may be larger than those in the outer ones and the transparency may be located therein. A recess 17 may be formed in the edge of the aperture of one of the outer sections to allow a title to be seen. The carrier frame 20 may be formed from a single piece of sheet metal, and a series of frames may, be connected by hinges 22 to form an endless band.
