Abstract
895,570. Transparency holders. SKUSE & PARTNERS Ltd., WALTER R. Dec. 29, 1960, No. 44569/60. Class 98(2). A transparency holder comprises a pair of centrally apertured frames of generally flat shape, one of the frames having a centrally. disposed recess: to receive the transparency, and the other frame having means for slidably guiding the first frame parallel to the second when the transparency is mounted between them. As shown, the rear or inner frame 2 has a rectangular recess 3 which receives the transparency 4. The front or outer frame 1 is formed with inturned flanges 6 along three edges thereof, so that the inner frame 2, with the transparency located in the recess therein, can be assembled with the front frame by sliding it into register under the flanges. The free edge of frame 1 not occupied by the flanges has an upturned lip 7 which can be depressed sufficiently to allow frame 2 to be slid over it, then springing back to exercise a retaining action. The lipped edge 7 has a recess 8 which coincides with one of two similar recesses on the edges of frame 2, to act as a tactile guide for correct insertion of the holder into a projector. In mounting the transparency between its glass cover-plates, the edges are secured together by strips of adhesive material which have guide lines to facilitate accurate locating of the transparency.
