Abstract

917,662. Automatic circuit-breakers; arc rupturing in switches. HEINEMANN ELECTRIC CO. May 20, 1959 [Dec. 22, 1958], No. 17149/59. Class 38 (5). In a circuit-breaker, magnetic blow-out is provided by a U- shaped magnetic member 34 which straddles the moving contact 14 when the contacts 12, 14 are closed, the member 34 being supported in slots in a U- shaped insulating member 42. The member 42 is held in position by the fixed contactcarrying member 38 and by a member 37. Specifications 684,311, 684,327 and 684,390 are referred to.
