[Also in Group XXVI] In a method for modifying the nozzle ring of an exhaust gas turbine driving a blower, the outlet edge of the inlet guide blades are conically machined so than the blade width is greater near the outer support ring than near the inner support ring. Guide blades 1 are cast integrally with shroud rings 2, 3 and their trailing edges are machined after manufacture. Material may be removed from only a part of the length of the trailing edge. By machining after manufacture, the number of patterns for casting is reduced.
