Abstract

1419381 Gas turbine engine fan ROLLSROYCE (1971) Ltd 2 March 1973 [9 March 1972] 11078/72 Heading F1T A fan for a gas turbine engine includes blades 12, each blade has an aerofoil 13, shank 14 and root 15, and the stagger, camber and crosssectional shape of the shank 14 at its radially outer end Cl are similar to those at the radially inner end B1 at the aerofoil 13, the camber at the shank progressively reducing towards the root end thereof. The camber may reduce to zero, as may the stagger when the root is arranged axially at the rotor axis.
