[Also in Groups XXV, XXVI and XXVIII] A sealing attachment device for attaching an elongated element 1 in an aperture in a member 2, such as a wall, comprises a ring assembly 4 of elastic material, inserted in a tubular socket member 3, provided with a wall portion 8 of axially decreasing internal diameter, the ring assembly comprising two or more elastic ring members of different sizes adapted to be assembled in readily separable concentric interengageable relationship, the number of ring members of the assembly being selected in accordance with the external diameter of the elongated element to be retained in the aperture, and displacement of the selected member or members along the wall portion ensuring radial gripping of the elongated element. The elongated element is an electric cable, braided wire or a pipe. The member 3 screws into an aperture in the member 2 and internally is of bowl-like shape with the bottom of the member pierced axially for the passage of the element 1. A ferrule 6 is adapted for screwing into the member 3 to displace the ring member or members. As shown, the ring assembly consists of two members 11, 12, the inner ring member 11 being removable so that a larger element 1 can be gripped. If desired, more than two ring members can be used and all of the members except the outer one have a flange which is of the same external diameter as the external diameter of the outermost member.
