916,433. Lathe details. FOELL, C., FOELL, A., and FOELL, H., [trading as REMS-WERK C. FOELL & SOHNE]. April 8, 1960 [April 23, 1959], No. 12547/60. Class 83 (3). A lathe for cutting-off tubes &c. comprises a cutting head 2 rotatable in a housing 1 through worm and worm-wheel 6, 8, and carrying a parting tool 16 and a facing tool 24 mounted on radially-movable slides 15, 23, respectively. Slide 15 is actuated by a sliding ring 9 through bell-crank 14, the ring also moving a dog 19 which depresses bell-crank 22 to advance slide 23. During rearward movement of ring 9, arm 25 pivots to preclude another advance of slide 23. The timing of the advance of slide 23 during the advance of slide 15 is adjustable by moving dog 19 which has screw-engagement with a rod 18 provided with a key 20.
