916,271. Fuel injectors. GRIGAR, O. Sept. 16, 1960 [Sept. 18, 1959], No. 32000/60. Class 7(3) In a fuel injector the fuel flows in contact with parts formed of high heat conductivity material which conducts heat thereto. In Fig. 1, the steel body 1 has inserts 3 therein of high conductivity material such as copper, silver or their alloys, the inserts forming part of the surface of the feed bore 5. The lower ends of the inserts are interconnected by a ring 4 of the high conductivity material. In Fig. 3 the inserts 13 are on the outside of the nozzle body and contact the feed at their upper ends in the annular chamber 19. In Fig. 5, the high conductivity material forms a sleeve 23 which surrounds the fuel supply chamber 26.
