Abstract

834,826. Fuel injectors. UCCUSIC, K. Aug. 30, 1956 [Aug. 31, 1955], No. 26497/56. Class 7(3) A valve 4 in a fuel injector opening in the direction of fuel flow is arranged in a tubular insert 1 which is situated between the fuel inlet member 2 and the nozzle member and which obstructs the flow of heat from the nozzle tip 11, insulated by an insulating sheath 9, to the valve seat. The sheath 9, which may be formed of plastic, nickel steel, porcelain, or resin-impregnated asbestos, surrounds the nozzle tip 11 with slight clearance and may be continued upwards to surround part of the member 3.
