Abstract

916,038. Root-crop harvesters. AEBI & CO. A.G. Sept. 20, 1960 [Jan. 29, 1960], No. 32194/60. Class 6(3). A root-crop harvester comprises shaking screens and lifting tines and is characterized in that two shaking screens lying side by side are associated with three pairs of lifting tines. The shaking screens comprise shares 10 and rods 11 and rotate about axes longitudinal of the machine as described in Specification 899,447. The tines 34 are adjustably supported from the cross-bar 35 which is secured either permanently or removably to the main frame of the machine. Rods 48 associated with the centre tines and 49 associated with the side tines guide the tubers into the shaking screens from which the tubers are deposited in a single row. It is stated that the shaking screens may oscillate about vertical axes.
