Abstract

892,503. Harvesting root-crops. BUCHERGUYER A.G. Nov. 23, 1960, No. 40239/60. Addition to 824,077. Class 6(3). In a root-crop harvester as described in the parent Specification wherein two overlapping tined scoops 10, 11, in series oscillate about vertical axes, the scoops are connected together by resilient members 18 which are unstressed when the scoops are in their central positions of oscillation. Each scoop has an arched frame 12 from which tines 13 project rearwardly and channel-section members 15 are attached to each side of each frame. Brackets 17 secured to the members 15 support springs 18 which are stressed as the scoops oscillate in opposite directions.
