Abstract

977,462. Agricultural implements. C. VAN DER LELY N.V. March 15, 1961 [April 8, 1960], No. 9478/61. Heading A1B. A harrow comprises tines attached to a frame 50 wherein each tine is supported by a support formed or carried on the harrow frame, each tine including a resiliently deformable portion 77 extending between the location of its support and the location at which the tine is secured to the harrow frame, the arrangement being such that during working the ground working portion 71 of each tine is movable relative to its support due to the deformation of the portion 77. As shown the tine passes through a hole 72 the walls of which act as a support. The resiliently deformable portion is formed as a number of bends 76 and the tine is formed from a single length of resiliently deformable material. The shape of the bends may be altered and two tines may be formed from a single length of material, one clamp being used to secure both tines. Specification 977,464 is referred to.
