Abstract

912,469. Windscreen wipers. TRICO-FOLBERTH Ltd. Sept. 25, 1961 [Sept. 26, 1960], No. 32994/60. Class 138 (1). A windscreen wiper arm 2 is pivotally mounted for movement to and from the windscreen on a pin 20 carried by a mounting member 4 having two ears 6 with curved slots 18 supporting the ends of a nylon bushed pin 16 which is engaged by a hook 14 attached to a tension-spring 8. Pivotal movement of the arm 2, from the normal operating position shown in Fig. 1 to a position at right-angles thereto, causes the pin 16 to move to the end 19 of the slot 18 and results in a reversal of the sense of the turning moment due to spring tension.
