Abstract

1,126,594. Windscreen wipers. ANADD HOLDINGS Ltd. 16 Dec., 1965 [24 Dec., 1964], No. 52510/64. Heading A4F. A connector by which a flat end portion of a wiper arm 11 is attached to a bridge 9 supporting a wiper blade is provided with a plain leaf spring 29 which urges the wiper arm, when engaged with the connector, to bear against a wall of the connector in such a way that one or more detents 50 on the wall engaged with an aperture recess or marginal notches (35) (Figs. 1 and 2, not shown) in the wiper arm 11. The connector, which is provided with fingers 33 to limit movement of the spring 29, is provided with an apertured extension which passes through a transverse slot in the bridge 9, the connector being pivotally secured to the bridge 9 by arranging shoulders 25 of the extension to bear on the top side of the bridge and by fitting a retaining spring 27 in the aperture of the extension at the bottom side of the bridge.
