Abstract

1,232,157. Windscreen wipers. SWFSPEZIALFABRIK FUER AUTOZUBEHOER GUSTAV RAU G.m.b.H. 8 Aug., 1969, No. 39697/69. Heading A4F. The hook-shaped end 5 of a windscreen wiper arm 1 is connected to a wiper blade by a spring 3 formed with a catch 6 engaging a hole in the end 5 and comprising a bearing bush formed as an integral plastics structure with two tangentially extending shanks 8, 9. The bush 7 is mounted on a pivot pin 4 extending between the walls of a channel-shaped yoke 2 of the wiper blade, and flanges 10, 11 (Fig. 2, not shown) on the spring 3 are interposed between the edges of the wiper arm end 5 and the walls of the yoke 2. The bush 7 may be formed with a slit to facilitate its mounting on the pin 4.
