912,065. Coal cutter chains. HOY & CO. Ltd., AUSTIN. Aug. 1, 1961 [Aug. 5, 1960], No. 27280/60. Drawings to Specification. Class 24. In a coal cutter chain with ball joints of which the balls are carried by necks projecting transversely of the chain length as described in Specification 626,080, the ball is screwed on to the neck and retained thereon by a locking pin which may either be a screw-threaded cross-pin inserted transversely of the axis of the neck or a wire inserted through a bore in ball and neck along the axis of the latter and bent over at its ends within appropriate recesses in the lower end of the ball and the upper end of the neck.
