[Also in Group I] Sewage sludge, supplied by conduit 7 to inlet 9, enters the pipe 5, which is heated by pipes 6, and under the pressure of a gas introduced via conduit 8 at 10 is heated as it rises up the pipe 5, finally leaving the heating pipe at 16.
