910,743. Hot-water supply and heating systems for buildings. BARNES, N. Dec. 4, 1958 [Dec. 12, 1957], No. 38690/57. Class 64 (1). A combined central heating and hot-water supply comprises a water heater 2, a pump 1, a calorifier 3 in a hot-water storage tank 4, a series of radiators 5, in a part of the circuit the flow through which is controlled by valve 9 actuable by a room-thermostat 8, and a thermal element 7a responsive to the temperature of the water leaving the heater, this element being connected to a device for controlling the fuel supply to the heater. The thermal elements 7a, 8 may also operate switches controlling the running of the pump. In a modification, described in the Provisional Specification, all the devices are in series in a single circuit, the valve 9 then controlling a by-pass conduit for the radiators.
