909,250. Reciprocating pumps. ZENTRALE ENTWICKLUNG UND KONSTRUKTION (ZEK) PUMPEN UND VERDICHTER VEB. Sept. 13, 1960, No. 31587/60. Class 102(1). Stroke-varying means for a cam-and-lever actuated pump comprise an angled member 3, Figs. 2 and 3, pivotally mounted on the pump housing and having a slot 4 for the slidable location of the pin 2 of a pin-and-slot connection between a connecting rod 1 and a slotted actuating lever 5. Member 3 is rotatable through less than 90 degrees to vary the stroke of a piston 7, the fulcrum point of member 3 coinciding with pin 2 when piston 7 is at its delivery stroke end position whereby the delivery stroke end position remains constant. Lever 5 is pivotable about a pin 6 on the housing. In a modification, Fig. 6, a member 3<SP>1</SP>, having a groove 4<SP>1</SP> for the slidable location of a connecting pin 21, is pivotable about a pin 8 secured to the pump housing. An actuating lever 5<SP>1</SP> is pivoted on a pin 6<SP>1</SP>. Members 3 and 3<SP>1</SP> may be adjusted manually or automatically.
