[Also in Group XXIV] A thrust pad is interposed between a piston and an actuating member, e.g. a swash plate or a lever. The pad has a flat surface engaging a flat surface at the end the piston and an opposite surface of outwardly convex arcuate form which engages in a correspondingly shaped recess in the actuating member.
