[Also in Group IV (c)] An apparatus for the continuous automatic wringing of leathers, especially sole leathers, comprises upper and lower wringing rollers, each having an elastic covering, in combination with hydraulic means operatively connected with the rollers to control the mutual pressure exerted between them, thus allowing the removal of a predetermined amount of moisture, a feedconveyer belt on one side of the nip and a delivery conveyer belt on the opposite side. Preferably the hydraulic means comprises piston-and-cylinder means, moving at least one of the rollers, actuated through an accumulator supplied by a pump through the medium of a control valve, and an accumulator weight controlled through the medium of the valve.
