907,868. Hot-water supply and space-heating systems. DAVISON Ltd., THOMAS R. March 4, 1959 [March 18, 1958], No. 8576/58. Class 64 (1). A hot-water cylinder 1, which may be heated by an electric element but is shown as having connections 3, 4 to a boiler, is supplied with cold water by a pipe 8 (from a supply tank 7) and supplies hot water to a draw-off supply through a pipe 5. The hot water in the cylinder 1 heats water in a duct 13 which passes return water from a pipe 12, from radiators, to a chamber 10 above a baffle 6 at the top of the cylinder. The heated water passes from the chamber 10 to a vent pipe 15 from which a branch leads it to the radiators. A flap valve 9 which permits hot water to pass directly to the chamber 10 normally closes an opening in the baffle 6 to prevent rust passing to the lower water space.
