598,274. Hot-water supply and heating systems for buildings. ROBINSON, E. Sept. 6, 1945, No. 22999. [Class 64 (i)] In a combined hot water supply and heating system for buildings, comprising a hot water tank 5 for supplying water for domestic use, water or steam heated radiators 12, and a fuelheated boiler 1 and an auxiliary electrically heated boiler 13 each supplying both the hot water tank and the radiators, the water or steam supplied to the radiators, whether from the first or the second boiler, flows direct from the boiler or boilers without first giving up heat to the hot water tank 5. In the form shown, the water in the tank 5 is heated by a coil 4 supplied with hot water. Control valves 16, 17, 18, 19 are provided to cut out either boiler.
