The two parts a and b of a connecting-rod are secured by bolts d each of which is locked by a plate h having a double hexagonal aperture engaging the head f of the bolt, and flats K which engage the sides of the recess g in the connecting-rod. The plate h is locked by a washer o having bent-up portions p, and the washer is held in place by a tap bolt L.
