Classes 7(2), 7(3), 7(4) and 7(5) [Also in Group XXXI] To enable a single- or multi-cylinder block assembly, including induction and exhaust pipes 10, 11, cooling air jackets 8 and an axial cooling blower 13, to be symmetrically situated over a crankcase assembly 2 including a fuel injection pump 17, lighting dynamo 18 and starter 19, the cylinder axis (or axes) 7 is inclined at between 7 degrees and 15 degrees to the vertical. The crank-case assembly has mounting lugs 21, 22. The invention is applicable to boat or tractor engines and allows the use of a narrow bonnet 16.
