Abstract

905,704. Valves. INDUSTRIAL PYRO. METER CO. Ltd. Jan. 11, 1961 [Jan. 21, 1960], No. 2289/60. Class 135. A fluid-control valve comprises a cylindrical casing 10 with a stop 15 for a composite butterfly closure provided by an outer annular disc 11 in the central aperture of which sits an inner disc 12 embodying a projection 14 normal thereto; the inner disc 12 is mounted upon a spring-loaded shaft 13, which may be connected to an electric motor. Turning of the shaft 13 rotates and opens the inner disc 12, the outer disc remaining stationary until it is engaged by the projection 14 whereupon the two discs rotate together into the fully open position shown in dotted lines.
