Abstract
905,350. Inductors. ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. Sept. 18, 1958 [Sept. 18, 1957], No. 29372/57. Class 38 (2). [Also in Group XXXIX] An inductor for use in a ferroresonant circuit as described in Specification 905,349 (see Group XXXIX), comprises two thin strips 10 of ferromagnetic material each sheathed by a ceramic tube 11 and carrying a bias winding 14, trigger control windings 13 and a magnetizing winding 12. The bias and trigger windings act in the same sense on both cores and the magnetizing windings act in opposite senses so that the inductor; when energized by alternating current in the magnetizing winding, has the B-H magnetization characteristic shown.
