858,762. Magnetic storage devices. NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. June 12, 1958 [June 12, 1957], No. 18545/57. Class 38 (2). A block 1 of ferrite having a rectangular hysteresis loop has one or more pairs of parallel holes 2 and 3 in which are inserted wires 5 and 6 joined at one end 4 to form an energizing loop. A predetermined current in the loop 5, 6 saturates the material between holes 2 and 3 because the distance between the holes (in centimetres) is made not greater than twice the predetermined current (in amps) divided by five times the coercive force (in oersteds).
