Abstract
938,131. Electromagnetic switches. M. BAERMANN. July 10, 1961 [July 9, 1960], No. 24884/61. Class 38 (5). Operating coils 24 for sealed magnetic contact devices 14, 17 are wound on a permanent magnet former 18 to provide polarizing flux for the contact devices. The permanent magnet former may surround a single device (Figs. 1 and 2, not shown) or a plurality as shown in Figs. 3 and 4 so that the former can be locally magnetized (Figs. 5 and 6, not shown) to polarize one or more of the devices. A contact device may be rotated about its axis (Fig. 4) to adjust its sensitivity.
