Abstract

1,024,041. Electromagnetic relays. PLESSEY CO. Ltd. June 22, 1962 [April 19, 1961], No. 14086/61. Heading H2B. Two magnetic reed contact devices of the aligned reed type are arranged to be polarized by a permanent magnet and operated by energization of a winding whose flux assists that of the permanent magnet in one contact device and opposes that in the other contact device. The winding may surround a core of high magnetic remanence to maintain the flux in the direction of the last energizing pulse. Only one contact device can close its contacts at one time and with the remanent arrangement they can be connected as change-over contacts.
