903,266. Screw lifting jacks. CARJACKS Ltd. Dec. 16, 1960 [Feb. 18, 1960], No. 5717/60. Class 78 (3). The screw 10 of a screw lifting jack for vehicles is supported at its lower end on a ballbearing 19 on the foot 14 and at its upper end is located in an opening in a bearing-plate 9 mounted on a C-shaped channel-member 1. The nut 22 is provided with integral trunnion pins 23, 24 which bear on the front flanges of the member 1 and which pivotally support a lifting arm 25, and the rear of the nut or arm 25 bears on the rear 2 of member 1. Lugs 26, 27 on the arm 25 restrict upward pivotal movement of the arm. The lower end of the screw 10 is located between a semi-circular recess, formed in a portion of the rear part 2 of the member 1 which is inclined forwardly, and the front flange 15 of the foot 14.
