Abstract

901,846. Liquid fuel burners. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Sept. 27, 1960 [Oct. 1, 1959], No. 33153/60. Class 75 (1). [Also in Group XII] A fuel nozzle comprising a fuel metering set 22 secured in an opening 20 in the nozzle, is detachably secured in line with a port 32 in a dome 13 of a combustion liner of a gas-turbine engine by means of a cylindrical bushing 23 which surrounds the metering set 22 and cooperates with a retaining clip 26 secured to the dome 13. The bushing 23 is held in the opening 20 of the nozzle by a snap ring 24 and it has an annular flange 25 which underlies the edges of a slot 0 in the retaining clip 26. The central portion of the clip and its upper edge 29 are spaced from the dome 13. The nozzle is guided into position by a horse-shoe shaped clip 27 secured to the dome 13. The nozzle is mounted on the end of fuel pipes 17, 18 which extend through an opening in an outer casing surrounding the combustion liner.
