Abstract

901,483. Buildings. TERRAPIN Ltd. July 22, 1959 [July 30, 1958 (2) ; Sept. 22, 1958], Nos. 24554/58, 24555/58 and 30186/58. Class 20 (1). A building comprises a number of collapsible structures each formed of a rectangular floor member 10 to the corners of which are movably secured uprights 11 bearing a roof member 13; the length of the floor member being at least twice as long as the uprights 11; the roof member comprising four side beams 40, 41 surmounted by a flat roof 52, 53; the area within the beams being sufficient to accommodate the uprights 11 and at least the upper part of the floor member 10 when the structure is collapsed. The uprights are pivoted or spigoted in brackets secured to the floor member 10, Figs. 5 and 18 (not shown). The roof comprises a frame 51, Fig. 9, covered by sheet material 52, 53, and which rests by means of blocks 54 on rails 50 fastened to the side beams 40. Each side beam 40 similarly comprises a frame 47 covered by sheet material 48, 49. Roofing felt 56 covers the roof member. The uprights 11 are fastened to the roof members 13 by bolts 62 which engage slots in a bracket 60 and are secured by pins 66. Specifications 795,975, 901,484 and 901,485 are referred to.
