Abstract

899,113. Valve sawtooth generating circuits. BUSH & RANK CINTEL Ltd. March 20, 1961 [March 18, 1960], No. 9651/60. Class 40(6). In television equipment, a line timebase generator for providing a sawtooth current in deflection coils 6 is adapted for operation on two line frequencies. Two H.T. booster diodes are provided, diode 12 being switched in for operation on 405 lines per field and diode 10 for operation on 625 lines per field. The cathode of the diode operating at the higher frequency is connected to the top on the transformer nearest the anode of the driver valve 1. A resistance/capacitance damping circuit is preferably connected between the anode of the diode not in use and the H.T. line. Specification 871,559 is referred to.
