Abstract

962,751. Valve sawtooth circuits. LICENTIA PATENT - VERWALTUNGS - G.m.b.H. July 21, 1961 [July 26, 1960], No. 26519/61. Heading H3P. In a Miller timebase, the flyback time is reduced by a further valve connected across the Miller capacitor, a rectangular control pulse being fed to the grid of the further valve. As shown, valve 7 is normally conductive so that the Miller valve 1 is bottomed. Negative feedback via diode 8 and the gas-filled or Zener diode 10 stabilizes the anode voltage. When a negative pulse is fed to line A, diode 9 conducts, rendering diode 8 and valve 7 non- conductive. Valve 1 provides a voltage rise at the anode which is made linear by feedback via the Miller capacitor C. Capacitor C is discharged by valve 7 at the end of the negative pulse. In Fig. 2 (not shown), components 8, 9, 10 are omitted.
